Replying to rǔu or rǔu blào:

Whenever you are asked a question using the words rǔu or rǔu blào, you have a couple of options for how to reply.

Question:
เขา ชื่อ กัญญา หรือ เปล่า
Is her name is Ganyaa, or not?
Simple affirmative:
ครับ
(male)
ค่ะ
(female)
More formal affirmative response:
ใช่ ครับ
Yes, it is.
ใช่ ค่ะ
Yes, it is.
Negative response:
ไม่ ใช่ ครับ
No, it is not.
ไม่ ใช่ ค่ะ
No, it is not.

If you strongly disagree with the information part of the question, say blào, which means no, it is not so, not correct.

เปล่า ครับ
No, it is not (not at all).

Disagree, and also correct.

เปล่า ครับ. เขา ไม่ได้ ชื่อ กัญญา
No, it is not. She is not named Ganyaa.
